Association conference to be held on June 22 will feature media
panel, networking and media trainingStuart, FL - The
Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association
will be holding its annual Media Conference on Friday, June 22,
2012 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at IRSC Wolf High Technology Center in
Stuart. The Keynote Speaker,
Karen Connolly Levey, will discuss the media circus surrounding the
Casey Anthony trial. The Director of Due Process Services &
Communications for Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit Court, Levey
will share her experiences with the behind-the-scenes management of
the 600-plus credentialed media who converged on the front lawn at
the courthouse last year for one of the most publicized trials in
Florida’s history.Anyone interested in promoting their
business or organization is encouraged to attend the conference.
Two tracks will cater to all levels from novice to seasoned
professional - business owners, volunteers, PR professionals and
beginners will all learn something new about media and
marketing. The conference will also
feature a media panel comprised of professionals from all media
outlets, including newspaper, magazine, radio, television, Internet
and more. "Our goal is to provide
a fun, education experience that will be applicable to all levels,”
said FPRA Media Conference Chair Nancy McCarthy. "We want everyone
to leave this conference with new tools and tactics that will make
them more successful in communicating with the
media.”Registration begins at
8:30 a.m., the program begins at 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tickets for
the conference are $60 for FPRA members, $70 for nonmembers.
